How do sitters become eligible for the program?
Date Night Now is an invite-only program for Sittercity sitters with strong backgrounds and experiences. Additional checks include:
Once I review the available sitters, how do I reserve my top pick?
You book the sitter of your choice directly from her profile page by clicking the reserve button next to the date you want. After providing an arrival time and an estimated return time, you're done! We'll email you a confirmation and your sitter's contact information.
Do I get to talk to and/or meet with the sitter beforehand?
Yes! We encourage you to email, call or text your sitter in order for you to feel confident in your selection. Always trust your gut and please reach out to our Support Team with any concerns you may have. We recommend building an extra 30 minutes into the first time you hire a new sitter. This gives you time to chat in-person and for the sitter to get to know your family.
How often is sitter availability updated?
We ask Date Night Now sitters to update their availability on a weekly basis. Generally, they provide their availability for about three weekends out at the beginning of each week.
How far in advance advance should I book my sitter? Are sitters available same day or last minute?
After your first date night, the sitter you booked will show up on your dashboard along with her upcoming availability. Found a few sitters you like? we knew you would? All of their upcoming availability will be on your dashboard too. We'll also send it to you via email.

What if I need to book someone more than two to three weeks in advance? Or on a weeknight?
Just email our Support Team and let us know what date you need. Or you can make the request on this page. We will make sure you are covered!
Can I pay via credit card?
Yes — no need to run to the ATM. All payments for Date Night Now should be made via credit card. Once you have set up an account, payment to your sitter is automatically charged to your credit card on file. You'll receive a receipt at the end of each date night and have the opportunity to make edits before it is finalized.
I loved my Date Night Now sitter! How do I book her again?
After your first date night, the sitter you booked will show up on your dashboard along with her upcoming availability. Found a few sitters you like? we knew you would? All of their upcoming availability will be on your dashboard too. We'll also send it to you via email.

What if I need to cancel?
We know things come up and understand. If you need to cancel, please email our Support Team. For last-minute cancellations, we recommend contacting the sitter as well.
Is transportation provided?
Transportation is not provided. Most sitters can get to your job via public transportation or their own car. If it is going to be a late night, we recommend sending your sitter home in a cab or an Uber to ensure her safety. We try our best to find sitters who live in your neighborhood so that transportation is not an issue.
